MRI scanner meets chorus of approval at Oxford

Members of staff at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital and representatives from Alliance Medical were joined by the Holy Trinity Choir, Headington Quarry, to celebrate the official launch of a Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T MRI scanner.
The upgraded scanner will sit alongside an existing CT scanner and fully equipped ultrasound and x-ray departments to provide a full range of diagnostic services under one roof at the Oxford hospital.
Hospital director Simon James said: “We can offer a much wider service to patients than ever before. The new scanner will support the diagnosis of challenging diseases quickly and efficiently as well as providing a comfortable patient experience.”
