Exeter breast screening continues to improve services

News

Hologic breast health sales specialist Steve Adams joins assistant practitioners Karen Wittenburg and Nicola Hayward, senior radiographer Zahra Esmaeeili, assistant practitioner Claire Clarke and superintendent radiographer Alison Vine in Exeter.

The Exeter Breast Screening Service operated by InHealth has updated its service with the addition of state-of-the-art mammography equipment that provides advanced digital 3D images to aid early diagnosis of breast cancer.

InHealth says that it was the first unit in the UK to be completely digital in 2006.  Now the company has made further investment in the latest technology from Hologic, a leading equipment manufacturer specialising in women’s health, to continue to provide the best service for women in north and east Devon.

Superintendent radiographer Alison Vine said, “We are delighted with the new equipment which means we can continue to improve the service we give to women in the area. The new technology means that the best possible image is taken for screening and early diagnosis.”
