Dose reduction is dramatic at Good Hope

Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, has undergone a renovation programme in areas of its radiology department and has installed a Toshiba Aquilion CXL 128-slice CT scanner.

Heart of England Foundation Trust CT/MRI modality lead Eunan McGlynn said: “We have three other Toshiba scanners and, as they share the same platform, this helped with training and gives us more flexibility.  We are very pleased with the dose reduction we are achieving, which in some cases is quite dramatic.  Another aspect we like about the system is its small footprint.”
