Routine MRI work is faster at Huddersfield

A Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI scanner with Omega gradients and a comprehensive selection of software packages is now in use at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
CT and MRI service manager Michelle Griffiths said: “We have been using Cobalt’s mobile Ingenia as an interim solution, so it was a great transition to our new system. The installation was a Philips turnkey project and I couldn’t fault them. They took the old system out on January 28 and the new system was handed back to us on April 15. We have just done our first small bowel examination, which we didn’t do before. We are finding routine work is a lot faster, for instance, we have been able to drop our knee protocol from 30 to 20 minutes.”
