Benefits of fluoroscopy room obvious from the outset

A Luminos Agile fluoroscopy system from Siemens Healthcare, installed at Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, will be used predominantly for fluoroscopic procedures while also supporting the general radiography workflow. An undercouch digital radiography system, the unit is designed to increase imaging efficiency and enhance patient care. Combined with the Luminos Agile is a second plane Ysio ceiling suspended x-ray system with a wireless digital detector.
“The Luminos Agile has greatly enhanced our radiology service to in the Midlands,” said consultant radiologist Dr Hugh Logan. “The new fluoroscopy room is improving image quality, dramatically reducing patient dose, widening the range of studies and increasing the numbers of patients we can accommodate.”
