Hammersmith Hospital has purchased a Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound system for use in the De Wardener ward at the hospital’s renal and transplant medical centre.  Superintendent sonographer Nayna Patel explained: “We already have three portable Toshiba ultrasound machines that we use in our department, so it made sense to select Toshiba again.

“We find the greyscale imaging resolution excellent and Precision Imaging software improves the definition of structures and reduces noise level, an important feature for kidney transplants where you are looking at blood flow.  In this respect we have found the Aplio 300 has very good colour Doppler resolution.”
