Bradford’s SPECT/CT aids thyroid scanning

The nuclear medicine department at Bradford Royal Infirmary has replaced an aged gamma camera with a Philips BrightView XCT SPECT/CT system. Medical physics clinical services manager Mike Page said: “The department now has the ability to offer additional SPECT/CT scans, giving greater flexibility in accommodating patient workload. The increase in CT image quality has contributed to a significant improvement in our diagnostic capability.”
