Following a review of available technology for the hybrid theatre environment, Basildon Hospital chose an AlluraClarity FD20 FlexMove from Philips Healthcare.

The hybrid facility combines a full surgical operating theatre with high specification x-ray and ultrasound imaging equipment, usually only available in a radiology department.

Deputy imaging manager Fiona Ryan said: “We reviewed all the offerings on the market targeted towards the hybrid theatre environment.  In particular, we liked the ability of the Philips’ equipment to be parked anywhere in the room and the Clarity imaging system with its associated dose reduction benefits.”
