Royal Preston takes the step to digital x-ray

Senior radiographer Paul Hart, radiography assistant Cath Pickering, senior radiographer James Murphy, MIS account manager Phil Jones, clinical manager Caroline Mee, specialist radiographer Nicola Nelson and MIS applications specialist Caryn Carroll.
Royal Preston Hospital has received three Samsung XGEO GC80 DR general x-ray rooms, installed by MIS Healthcare, that represent a single-step switch from CR to DR for the department. The order was placed following an evaluation process by the local team that took into account the company’s service levels as well as the equipment.
Clinical manager Caroline Mee said: “After an extensive selection process we chose the XGEO GC80 system for its remote tube auto-positioning system, clear generator controls, easy to use spinal stitching package and the clean lines of the tube head and the vertical and table detector systems.”
