Bradford Royal Infirmary, part of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has installed an X70 x-ray room from Konica Minolta, which can generate images to view three seconds after exposure.

Principal superintendent radiographer Joanna Oxley said: “We serve a population of more than half a million people, with 1,200 beds across the trust’s hospitals.  We examine around 240,000 patients a year and were producing 10,000 plain film x-rays a month.  The imaging speed and quality of the digital X70 room has greatly improved our workflow.”

“Feedback from our clinical staff for the new room has been extremely positive.”
