Model scanner helps young patients prepare for the real thing

A model play CT scanner was presented to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children as an exact replica of the Toshiba Aquilion One Vision CT scanner recently supplied to the hospital.  It includes the same underwater themed collage and a moveable tabletop on which a doll can be placed to simulate a scan.

Lead paediatric CT radiographer Jonathan Green explained: “It has proved to be a fun way for our younger patients to prepare for their scan and reduce any anxieties they may have.”
