Familiarity speeds up training at Queen Mary’s

Manger and operational lead Bradley Smith, Toshiba Medical Systems ultrasound applications specialist Jane Hanford and radiology department assistant Toni Ansell.

The radiology department at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup, has purchased a Toshiba Aplio 500 ultrasound system for general radiology including MSK work.  It replaced an aged system and was selected primarily for its ease of use and the support provided by Toshiba.

Manager and operational lead Bradley Smith said: “We already have a number of Toshiba ultrasound machines that have proven reliable and always receive favourable comments from the staff.  Training and movement between machines is faster and easier on equipment with a similar platform.  In addition, we appreciate the support provided by Toshiba, including breakdown cover, which is very good.”
