OIS chosen to equip Worcester Oncology Centre

Pictured from left are medical physicist Elizabeth Macaulay, dosimetrist Heather Brown, radiotherapy services manager Michelle Price, dosimetrists Hannah Morris and Sue Hinks, radiographer Alla Al-Sabahi, medical physicist Richard Powis, radiographers Richard Cormie, Elizabeth Bentley, Emma Haworth and Daniel Bloomer and clinical lead oncologist Clive Irwin.
Oncology Imaging Systems has supplied mould room products to the physics and radiotherapy department at the Worcester Oncology Centre. Dosimetrist Sue Hinks said: “We are very happy to pioneer our new department knowing we are supported by tried and tested products and equipment. The products supplied by OIS will help us move our service smoothly into our future.”
The staff are pictured with one of the lightweight Portrait head and neck boards and a Fibreplast thermoplastic head shell. The Portrait is used for immobilising a variety of brain, head and neck radiotherapy treatments and the department has complemented this with the use of Fibreplast Kevlar reinforced thermoplastic, to provide stability by limiting patient motion and reducing the probability of positioning errors.
