Fujifilm has installed an Ascelerate Flex DR room at Acre Mills in Huddersfield.  Acre Mills is a joint venture between Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Property Partnerships in which a £9 million refurbishment spanning two years has transformed a former wire mill into a three-floor building fit to serve more than 100,000 patients per year.

General team lead Matthew Hunneybell said: “We wanted equipment that was going to provide high quality images with low radiation doses.  After assessing the market we choose the Ascelerate Flex system as it covered all the bases – a fixed erect detector combined with a wireless 35 x 43cm detector for table and extremity use.”
