Service award goes to minimally invasive fetal autopsy project

Award recipients Dr Ashok Raghavan, Dr Amaka Offiah, Dr Marta Cohen and Dr Elspeth Whitby with BIR president Dr David Wilson, Bayer HealthCare northern regional business manager Ute Kallenbach and business development and marketing manager, MRI, Zoe Morton.

A team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital has been awarded the BIR/Bayer ‘Make it Better’ service award  for its work in establishing the world’s first minimally invasive autopsy service for the fetal and neonatal age group, based on MRI.

Doctors Elspeth Whitby, Marta Cohen, Amaka Offiah and Ashok Raghavan were presented with a £1,000 prize and plaque by BIR president Dr David Wilson and Bayer HealthCare northern regional business manager Ute Kallenbach at UKRC.
