Breast screening service joins trust’s data sharing

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Breast Screening Service, based at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, has agreed a PACS contract with Insignia Medical Systems.

The project will see the migration of over eight years’ data, and the addition of screening modalities located at Bromsgrove and Hereford.  The Insignia PACS will provide full desktop integration with the National Breast Screening Service and support screening and assessment images.

Insignia project manager Julie Guest, who has been managing the go-live, said: “Bringing the breast screening service together with the rest of the trust will help provide a joined-up approach to image sharing across multiple sites.  It has been a pleasure working with such a committed team that is clearly dedicated to improving patient care.”
