North Bristol trust acquires an MR-OR system

North Bristol NHS Trust expects to expand its intraoperative neurosurgery service following the installation of a Philips Healthcare 1.5T Ingenia MR-OR solution at Southmead Hospital.
MRI lead superintendent radiographer Ann Case said: “We selected the scanner for its ease-of-use and we are very familiar with Philips’ scanners. With the short, wide bore it is very patient-friendly, particularly for claustrophobic and bariatric cases, and so far we have only had one person who was too big to scan.”
