Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in West London has enhanced its imaging services to ensure an efficient workflow throughout A&E in the first phase of a major redevelopment of the emergency department which includes a new imaging suite.  Additions in technology from Siemens Healthineers include two Ysio Max digital x-ray systems, a Somatom Definition AS CT within A&E, a Multix Fusion digital x-ray and a further Ysio Max in the imaging department.

A&E superintendent radiographer Paul Hague said: “The systems will ensure the A&E department is efficient, can provide faster throughput and shorter waiting times for our patients.  We also anticipate an increase in uptime due to the modern technology and Siemens customer support.”
