A variety of specialists will use St George’s ultrasound platforms

Pictured at the handover of five Alpha 7 systems and one Alpha 6 to St George’s Hospital, London, are senior midwife and unit manager Gill Costello and Hitachi Aloka ultrasound applications specialist Ann Harvey.
The early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology unit at St George’s Hospital, London, has chosen Aloka ultrasound platforms to provide the necessary high resolution imaging performance it requires. The scanners will be used for a wide range of applications including gynaecology scanning, early pregnancy assessment and fertility scanning by midwife sonographers, sonographers, consultant obstetricians, gynaecologists and a GP.
Costello said: “We really liked the light, mobile design of the systems, their excellent ergonomics, user-friendly interface and high quality imaging performance. The whole package represented fantastic value for money.”
