Accurate patient positioning boosted by lasers

Oncology Imaging Systems has completed installation of a Dorado 3 laser system and a kVue CT couch top onto a new Toshiba Aquilion LB CT scanner at Lincoln County Hospital.

“We are very happy with the kVue couch top and it has been an excellent addition to our CT scanner,” said superintendent radiographer, radiotherapy imaging specialist Lee Beresford. “It enables us to accurately index our patient immobilisation as it exactly matches our linac treatment couches. The Dorado lasers have enabled us to accurately mark our patients and have been an integral part of our new CT planning suite.”
