Acuson Origin cardiovascular ultrasound system is trained on a huge cardiac image database

Siemens Healthineers has released the Acuson Origin, a dedicated cardiovascular ultrasound system with new AI features. Designed to improve patient outcomes and help clinicians perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures more efficiently, the Acuson Origin addresses the whole of cardiovascular patient care, including diagnostic, structural heart, electrophysiological and paediatric procedures.

“Siemens Healthineers is committed to shaping the future of ultrasound imaging by empowering healthcare professionals with the latest cutting-edge tools,” said head of ultrasound for Great Britain, Ireland and the Nordics Mike Arbaugh.

Siemens says the suite of AI-powered features for measurements, view recognition and imaging assistance have been trained on the world’s largest cardiac image database and can save the user time on diagnostic echocardiography procedures by providing automated measurements that are accurate and reproducible.
