Adaptix to follow UK launch of orthopaedic 3D imaging system with clinical trials and USA growth push

It has been a busy 12 months for UK-based imaging technology company Adaptix, with the official launch of its orthopaedic 3D imaging system, the Adaptix Ortho350, in the UK.
CEO Sarah Small said: “It has been a fast-paced but rewarding 12 months since we were last at RSNA. The UK launch of our Adaptix Ortho350 product has been well received, and we were delighted to secure Vertec Scientific as our UK distribution partner. We have also begun a new phase of human clinical trials with Professor Karen Knapp, director of musculoskeletal imaging at the University of Exeter, to explore how the Adaptix Ortho350 can be used in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis of the hand. We have continued to build our team with the recruitment of USA-based roles, including service engineers and clinical product specialists. We are gearing up for an exciting period of growth.”
The official USA launch of the Adaptix Ortho350 will take place at RSNA. Adaptix is showcasing live imaging demonstrations and the first of its USA distribution partners will be announced.

The Adaptix Ortho350 digital tomosynthesis system delivers fast, low dose, 3D x-ray imaging at a fraction of the radiation dose of traditional CT systems. It is said to provide clinicians with clearer images than traditional 2D x-ray, giving better visibility of tissues and bone structures. Its compact, lightweight design means clinicians can bring imaging directly to the point of care, reducing the need to move or refer patients.
