Aloka Alpha 6 for Swaffham Community Hospital

Pictured at the handover of the Aloka Alpha 6 at Swaffham Community Hospital, Norfolk, are senior sonographer Judith James with hospital League of Friends chairman David Gulliver and volunteer Kay Gulliver.

After purchasing a Hitachi Aloka Alpha 6 for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in King’s Lynn for obstetrics, sonographers there were happy to recommend it as they are very impressed with the image quality and ease of use.

David Gulliver said: “The League of Friends was asked by doctors Geoff Hunnam and Dan Rose from the QEH whether we would consider funding the replacement of an old black and white ultrasound scanner with a colour model to which the committee unanimously agreed.

“The committee would like to thank Hitachi Medical Systems UK Limited and the QEH for their expertise in guiding us to purchase the correct model.”
