Authority on MRI safety, Dr Kanal returns to the UK

From June 1-3, MRI Safety Matters will host Dr Emanuel Kanal’s sixth European MRMD/MRSO course in London.

The magnetic resonance medical director and magnetic resonance safety officer event, to be held at Bloomsbury’s Royal National Hotel, is designed to enable practitioners to develop a clear understanding of the distinct energies used in MRI, learn how to mitigate risks associated with electromagnetic fields, strengthen clinical decision making using structured safety checklists and evaluate risk versus benefit.

“Recognised as a foremost authority on MRI safety, Dr Kanal’s course offers valuable insight from his extensive clinical and teaching experience,” the organisers state. “Delivered exclusively in-person, the course provides a unique and highly engaging learning environment that simply cannot be replicated online.”

Attendees will be introduced to the Kanal Method for clinical decision making, a standardised approach to scanning patients with implants, devices and foreign bodies.

Two one-hour live Zoom sessions with Dr Kanal are included after the event, a unique feature of this European programme. A vendor exhibition will provide hands-on learning, access to technology and networking opportunities.
