Medica and AXREM

Medica welcomed CEO of AXREM Sally Edgington to its Hastings office for a discussion on upcoming events, member benefits and strategic initiatives. The meeting was attended by group director of corporate development Kevin Terrins, digital marketing manager Chloe Stokes, head of commercial (UK) Ben Garlick, tenders and bids manager Suzie Dore, head of IT architecture David Evans, group head of marketing and communications Holly Ainger and communications manager Katie Glastonbury, who all engaged in a wide-ranging conversation about AXREM’s latest work to support its members. Edgington explained the vision of the trade association to become the leading voice for medical imaging and radiology, driving innovation, promoting best practices and advocating policies that support the delivery of high quality, accessible imaging services to patients worldwide. The meeting highlighted AXREM’s ongoing commitment to advocacy and collaboration, including the Imaging IT Manifesto launch at Bletchley Park and a Strategic Priorities launch at Parliament last year, which brought together more than 200 members and MPs.

Edgington also spoke about AXREM’s growing efforts to facilitate MP visits to member sites, helping bridge the gap between policy and practice while showcasing the essential role MedTech companies play in the NHS.

AXREM and its members work with radiologists, radiographers, oncologists and a wide range of healthcare professionals to improve diagnostic pathways and ultimately enhance patient care. Member companies bring frontline insight into the daily challenges faced by clinicians. Organisations like Medica are instrumental in this effort, contributing subject matter expertise that helps shape the development and application of imaging innovations.
