AXREM welcomes new coordinator

Following the continued growth of AXREM over the last four years, the association for healthcare technology providers for imaging, radiotherapy and care has appointed Melanie Johnson as coordinator. She will be working for the association on a full-time basis, supporting meetings, members and the member accreditation scheme.

Johnson began her career in the healthcare sector and has since worked on several successful government and lottery-funded projects. Most recently, she has been working in the education sector. She said: “It is a pleasure to be joining AXREM as it continues to grow and support the sector. I am really looking forward to the challenges ahead and meeting our members, while contributing my skills and experiences to the organisation.”

Chief executive officer  Sally Edgington added: “Mel’s role will be vital for AXREM’s continued growth and to ensure we continue to offer our members the very best service and support. This role will ensure meetings and events are well organised and that the AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme can grow and gain a greater profile.”

In recent years AXREM’s membership has grown by over 140 per cent and the work of the association has become more proactive. Its profile has also increased, which has seen an upturn in working projects and representation in external forums.
