Baron joins Agfa as north-east key account manager

The UK team at Agfa Radiology Solutions has strengthened its sales force. In July, Clifford Baron took over as key account manager for the north-east of England.

“Cliff has worked in the x-ray sector for many years and thus has gained a lot of experience in both local and national sales and product support roles,” said sales director Martin Tew. “He fits very well into our team in every respect.”

Baron’s background is in radiology and imaging. He qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in the north-east and worked at the Hartlepool group of hospitals. After that, he travelled for a short period working as a radiographer in Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia before returning to the UK. His most recent employment was in teleradiology.

“I wanted to join the Agfa team as I wanted to re-engage with my previous territory and in a role that gives me an exciting and innovative portfolio to discuss,” he commented. He says he is already impressed by the consistent Musica image quality and the variety of DR solutions Agfa has to offer, and he is also curious to see how the further expansion of ‘smart’ elements on Agfa’s DR products are received. “Apart from that, I know many radiographers, and have made many friends in the region. I am really looking forward to meeting old and new colleagues in the coming years.”
