Barts meets breast screening workload

Hologic breast health sales specialist John McMahon, advanced practitioner Abiodun Falola, trainee mammographer Anthonia Akhigbe and superintendent radiographer breast imaging Carole Kliger.
St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, has installed a Hologic Selenia Dimensions Avia 2D mammography unit to handle its busy screening and symptomatic workload.
Superintendent radiographer breast imaging Carole Kliger said: “We are delighted to have this equipment; the Selenia Dimensions Avia has provided a cost-effective platform. Staff have found it intuitive to use and it has proved to be reliable in delivering consistent high quality images. Having a similar set up at our Mile End location has meant improved consistency and efficiency in our mammography screening clinics, benefitting patients throughout our catchment area.”
