The radiotherapy department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital has been awarded a Macmillan Quality Environment Mark. It is the first radiotherapy unit in London to be given the distinction, which is awarded to environments that meet a high standard of care for people living with cancer.
Consultant clinical oncologist Dr Virginia Wolstenholme said: “This is a wonderful achievement for the whole department because it recognises that we are giving quality and compassionate care to our patients. I want to thank all of our staff for their passion and tireless work without them this would not be possible.”
