Esaote ultrasound product and marketing manager Jo Mundy, Diagnostics Healthcare’s director of clinical services Julie Burnage and Manchester Giants player Anastasios Traianos.
In the wake of two recent deaths within its basketball family, British Basketball League team the Manchester Giants underwent cardiac screening. Players visited the Diagnostic Healthcare clinic in Altrincham and took various cardiac tests including an ultrasound enabled by Esaote.
Giants ceo John Dwan said: “The deaths of Steve and Juma were a tragedy for their families and friends. We want to highlight this issue, make sure our players are safe and encourage people to be screened too.”
Esaote provided a portable MyLab Alpha which can perform a full echocardiogram to screen the players.
