BIR team celebrates World Radiography Day at annual congress in London

The British Institute of Radiology’s (BIR) annual congress has become a tradition at this time of year and it says that this year’s event on November 7-8 brought together professionals from diverse roles, with insightful talks and discussions that highlighted the ongoing advances in imaging and oncology.

The two-day conference in London, titled Optimising Multidisciplinary Care for Patients, focused on encouraging teamwork and collaboration across disciplines to enhance imaging practices.

As a multidisciplinary organisation, the BIR’s membership spans not only radiologists but also radiographers, physicists, clinical scientists and other healthcare professionals. The team celebrated World Radiography Day on November 8 alongside colleagues, partners and experts from the imaging community. With several key industry leaders in attendance, the conference provided valuable opportunities for networking, fostering new connections and sharing knowledge.

Participants engaged in conversations about the common challenges and opportunities of their roles, all aimed at improving healthcare services and achieving better patient outcomes.
