Birmingham boosts interventional efficiency with image-guided therapy systems upgrade

Staff and patients are benefiting from cutting-edge technology at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust where an average of 10,000 interventional procedures are performed within the general interventional suites.
The Heartlands Treatment Centre opened in January 2023 and features several Philips systems, including two Azurion image-guided therapy systems with FlexArm.
Following the service improvements seen at Heartlands Treatment Centre, two further Philips Azurion systems have been installed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham within the last 12 months. Both of these projects have replaced older technologies, improving patient diagnostics and treatments while supporting multiple clinical teams to work seamlessly during interventional procedures.
