Birmingham paediatric trauma centre boosts service with wireless DR

Birmingham Children’s Hospital has replaced its Philips Bucky room with a DigitalDiagnost Flex Wireless digital x-ray system, chosen for its flexibility and ability to meet the demads of the busy hospital.

The single detector DR flex room with its moveable vertical stand and single-side suspended table with swivel put every part of the patient into the exposure range.  Users can perform vertical, horizontal and seated examinations as well as difficult angulated views.

General imaging lead radiographer Sallyann Dakin said: “We selected the equipment for its flexibility in being able to fit around the needs of the patients and staff whilst still providing high quality images.  It uses the same platform as the company’s other equipment and so it is easier for training staff.”
