BNMS Autumn Meeting promises a multidisciplinary focus and a look to the future of precision medicine
On September 24 and 25, the British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) Autumn Meeting will take place at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea. Opening with a welcome from Professor Neil Hartman and Professor Sabina Dizdarevic, the society says the meeting will deliver a carefully curated blend of clinical excellence, technological innovation and workforce development.
Day one features parallel streams covering general nuclear medicine and bone health, bringing together internationally recognised experts to explore advances in head and neck molecular imaging, parathyroid imaging, solid-state detector technology, osteoporosis management and DXA best practice. Delegates are expected to gain valuable insights into emerging imaging applications, novel technologies and the future direction of patient-centred diagnostics.
The BNMS says a particular strength of the programme is its multidisciplinary focus. Sessions examining workforce transformation, healthcare science leadership, patient perspectives and governance will ensure that delegates can engage with both the scientific and strategic challenges facing nuclear medicine services. A Workforce Summit will highlight the vision for healthcare science in 2035 and explore how services can respond to evolving workforce demands while maintaining quality and equity of care.
Day two shi fts attention to one of the most rapidly evolving areas of the speciality: molecular therapies and radiopharmacy. International experts will present cutting-edge developments in theragnostic radiopharmaceuticals, alpha-emitter therapies, radiochemical quality assurance, radionuclide production and clinical translation. Sessions covering Astatine-211, Lead-212, Ga-68 technologies and innovative radiopharmacy collaborations demonstrate the meeting’s commitment to showcasing the future of precision medicine and targeted radionuclide therapy.
Complemented by exhibitions, poster presentations, networking opportunities and a dinner/reception at Brangwyn Hall featuring professional entertainment, the meeting is designed to foster collaboration, inspire innovation and strengthen professional networks.
