Breast imaging graduates celebrate

At the Royal Festival Hall, London, are graduating assistant practitioners who successfully completed an FdSc in Breast Imaging Course. Pictured are Alison Gent, Erica Cromie, course director Judi Curtis and Debbie Giles from Kingston University and St Georges, University of London. Also graduating but not pictured are Abiodun Falola, Jackie Larkin, Marilyn O’Connell and Wendy Sullivan.
The foundation degree in breast imaging is aimed at assistant practitioners in mammography who work within the NHS Breast Screening Programme. According to course director Judi Curtis, the content has been designed in response to the expressed need from clinical areas for greater in-depth knowledge in breast imaging, to cope with the demands and diverse needs of the population and to foster skills in decision making and problem solving.
