Breastboard offers patient comfort and diagnostic compatibility

At Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, with a C-Qual Breastboard from IEL, are radiographer Katrina Statham, senior radiographer Megan Haworth, treatment superintendent radiographer Owen Morris, senior radiographer Scarlett Armstrong-Rand, clinical oncologist Dr Anne McCormack and senior radiographer Owen Pearce.

A range of patient positioning and immobilisation devices for treatment of the thorax, abdomen and breast are now available in the UK from distributor IEL.

Included are items from simple positioning devices to mechanical raised arm systems, designed to improve accuracy, reproducibility and patient comfort.  The carbon fibre C-Qual Breastboard is lightweight, designed for patient comfort and features a low attenuating IGRT treatment zone.
