Bristol Royal centralises specialist paediatric services with three C-arms

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is expanding to facilitate the centralisation of all specialist children’s services in a single, state-of-the-art hospital. To support an increase in workload, the hospital has invested in three Arcadis Varic C-arms from Siemens Healthcare to provide treatment for local children plus specialist care for children across the south west and nationally.

“We selected the Arcadis Varic following an evaluation of a number of systems. Staff were already familiar with it, so ease of use was a deciding factor,” said superintendent paediatric radiographer Elin Jones. “They sit in our refurbished department which has a relaxing ambience and child-focussed decor.”
