British radiology company opens Dubai hub

Radiology company Hexarad is partnering with RadCast to open a teleradiology reporting hub in Dubai, expanding its reach outside the UK for the first time. The hub in Dubai will be spearheaded by RadCast co-founder and consultant radiologist Dr Jamie Howie, who will also be responsible for organising educational and community social events in Dubai.

Hexarad’s teleradiology service has a UK customer base across the NHS and private healthcare. “With the demand for scan reporting as high as it has ever been, this felt like a great time for us to expand into our first international reporting hub,” commented Hexarad cco Dr Amy Davis. “This expansion is not only going to mean that we can provide additional reporting to new and existing customers, but we’re also going to be able to establish a radiology community around the hub with our educational and social event series.”

Co-founded by three radiologists, RadCast has created a radiologist-focused worldwide podcast and built a community promoting high quality educational content on radiology.

Dr Howie said: “From our first meeting it was clear that Hexarad and RadCast have aligned values. The opportunity to formally work together, particularly on such an exciting venture, was something not to miss.”
