Caerphilly’s new hospital adds CT scanning

Opened in November last year, the Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital in Caerphilly has purchased a Toshiba Aquilion One cardiac-optimised CT scanner that enables the hospital to provide a CT scanning service for the first time.

Acting radiology services manager Mark Wilkes said: “We can now provide a state-of-the-art CT scanning service for the local community, where previously patients had to go to Newport or Abergavenny.”
