Canon introduces affordable wireless flat panel detectors

Canon Medical Components USA has introduced its CXDI-Pro wireless digital radiography series of flat panel detector systems. Canon says the new additions feature superior digital imaging, are reliable and cost-effective. “The CXDI-Pro wireless systems are designed to support the stringent demands of medical imaging departments and general radiography applications,” the company adds.

With an ergonomically sculpted flat panel design the detectors are lightweight, robust and comfortable for easy handling. A smooth surface without screws makes them easy to clean. Other features include automatic exposure detection functionality, IP55 dust and waterproof protection, more than 10 hours of battery life, and a four-second quick-ready (dependent on acquisition mode), making the detectors ready for use whenever needed. The systems operate on Windows 10 using Canon’s CXDI Control Software NE, which optimises workflow while providing enhanced imaging with scatter correction for non-grid examinations. They are available in three sizes: 14″ x 17″ weighing 6.4lbs with battery; 11″ x 14″ at 4.6lbs with battery; and 17″ x 17″ at 7.7lbs with battery.
