Canon to discuss taking imaging closer to the community

Innovating diagnostic imaging service provision to get closer to patient communities.

Canon Medical Systems UK will join industry peers, colleagues and customers on stand A13 – A14 and mobile units 1 and 3 at UKIO and, in keeping with the event’s theme of ‘breaking down barriers’, the Canon team will be sharing expertise on the latest innovations in diagnostic imaging and service provision.

Canon representatives will share information on its range of AI-assisted CT and MRI scanners, interventional imaging systems, ultrasound and health IT applications. They will explain how these can be taken closer to the community through mobile, modular and bespoke diagnostic imaging service delivery concepts. This will be key in aligning to community diagnostic centre (CDC) strategies, preventative screening programmes and greener NHS initiatives, the company says.

“We’re looking forward to presenting the latest innovations in our diagnostic imaging and commercial solutions portfolio,” said managing director Mark Hitchman. “Meeting the challenges of healthcare inside as well as outside the traditional hospital environment requires evolution, which continues at pace with CDCs and other early detection strategies.

“It will be a great opportunity to meet delegates and discuss the progress of our unique carbon-neutral built community arena with multipurpose sports and medical diagnostic centre in Sheffield, our NHS trust CDC partnerships and also our latest innovations that have been designed to provide speed, clinical confidence and automation.”
