Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital has added two Philips 3D iE33 cardiac ultrasound systems.  The new equipment has been used for a paediatric echo course, lead by consultant paediatric cardiologist Dr Joydeep Mookerjee, which included 3D scanning techniques.

Consultant paediatric cardiologist Dr Giovanna Ciotti said: “We are very pleased with the new equipment and in particular we like the TOE probe, which is a fantastic tool.  It is easy to use, with a very bendable tip and has a good grip when it is necessary to keep it in position.”
