Carestream ceo visits Ireland

Kevin J Hobert, chief executive officer of Carestream Health, paid a recent visit to the midlands region of Ireland to see at first hand how Carestream Heath has installed an integrated RIS/PACS with built-in voice recognition technology.

The system currently links two acute service hospitals at Tullamore and Mullingar, both part of the HSE Midland Regional Hospitals.

The system was chosen initially for its ease of use and competitive pricing, and Kevin Hobert was told that it has already delivered operational and workflow efficiencies to both Tullamore and Mullingar, improving overall hospital management.

Pauric Greenan, project co-ordinator for the HSE Midland Area, explained: “We are committed to optimising patient care at three acute hospital sites in the region – at Tullamore and Mullingar, and soon at Portlaoise.”
