Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised as the Best NHS Trust for Delivering Radiology Services at the Radiology Awards 2022. These awards are an opportunity for organisations and professionals working in diagnostic and interventional imaging to be recognised for their contributions to patient outcomes.
Trust general manager for imaging and diagnostics Hayley Connoley said: “As professionals in a certain field, it is everyone’s dream here to be recognised and awarded for the exemplary work that they do. The acknowledgment that the department delivers outstanding care to patients is just amazing and is a testament to each and every member of our team. Delivering a collaborative and compassionate service is really important to us; there is no doubt in my mind that this is part of the recipe for the delivery of excellent quality of care to our patients.”
The radiology department continues to go from strength to strength, having recently renewed its Quality Standard for Imaging Accreditation. This is a patient-focused assessment designed to identify departments that consistently deliver high quality services by competent staff working in safe environments.
The department is part of the wider diagnostic team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, that has consistently delivered on the Diagnostics Waiting Times and Activity (DM01) target, and is said to be the top ranked trust in the country for ensuring its patients receive routine diagnostics within six weeks.
