Clatterbridge radiographers praise DR room’s easy set-up for difficult patients

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Birkenhead, has received a DRX-Evolution Plus digital x-ray system from Medray, the distributor for Carestream products in the UK and Ireland.

The newest features of the system include a table with higher weight capacity of up to 320kg, enhanced paediatric capabilities, extended tube column range for sites with high ceilings and a future- friendly design to accommodate advanced applications as they are released. During the training, principal radiographer CT and x-ray Susan Wright said: “Medray’s application consultant showed how easy it was using the interface and setting up the room for difficult patients on trolleys.”

Clatterbridge was Medray’s first x-ray room installation since it acquired the Carestream distribution. “It was fantastic to hear from Susan and radiographers Andy McAllister, Michelle Maxwell and Fiona Murphy that they had received superb service from the company and its staff; from project managers to engineers to applications,” stated Medray.
