Clinicians deliver positive feedback on cardiovascular ultrasound system

The latest generation OLED monitor on the Epiq CVx offers a wider viewing angle.
Royal Philips has introduced the Epiq CVx cardiovascular ultrasound system. Built on the Epiq ultrasound platform, Epiq CVx is specifically designed to increase diagnostic confidence and simplify workflow for clinicians, giving them more time to interact with their patients and reducing the need for repeat scans. It will be showcased in the UK at BSEcho 2018 Liverpool in October and was debuted at the British Cardiovascular Society annual conference.
Philips says the initial response to the system has been positive: “Among a group of clinicians who were shown the system, 95 per cent believed it offered improved image quality with sharper and clearer images.”
Philips is also introducing the Epiq CVxi, specifically tailored for use in the interventional lab. Both systems are CE marked and have received 510(k) clearance from the US FDA.
