Philips Healthcare has supplied an Ingenia 1.5 mobile MRI system to UK medical charity Cobalt.  According to Philips this is only the third mobile Ingenia MRI system and the second 1.5T mobile unit in the world.   All are with Cobalt and bring the total number of mobile scanners currently operated by the charity up to six units, all of which contain Philips systems.

The mobile unit, which has been developed with Dutch medical mobile specialist Lamboo Mobile Medical, will spend four days supporting the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

Cobalt chief executive Peter Sharpe said: “We again selected Philips as the Ingenia MR mobiles have created a high demand due to their exceptional imaging quality and wide bore.”
