Compact scanner suits St Richards

The Early Pregnancy Unit at St Richards Hospital, Chichester, has upgraded its ultrasound system to an Aloka ProSound Alpha 6, supplied by Olympus KeyMed.

Nurse specialist sonographer Sue Staniforth, pictured with the Alpha 6, said: “One of the really nice features of the system is its compact size, which would no doubt make it ideal for mobile use.  However, most important to us is the image quality and we were particularly impressed during our evaluations.”

ProSound Alpha 6 features technologies developed for Aloka’s premium level products to enhance image clarity, including Broadband Harmonics and Adaptive Image Processing.  It has a customisable 10.4″ LCD touch panel, intuitive Protocol Assist software and lightweight probes.
