Cork cardiac renal centre adds C-arm

At Cork University Hospital are radiographers Tom O Regan and Sylvia Lynch Sexton, clinical specialist Raj Chopra and Xograph Healthcare Ireland territory business manager Michael Leonard.
Cork University Hospital radiology department has taken delivery of a Ziehm Solo fluoroscopy C-arm, supplied by Xograph Healthcare Ireland, for the hospital’s new cardiac renal centre. The Ziehm Solo was chosen to enhance the service of the cardiothoracic division as it offered significant ergonomic advantages in confined spaces.
A high resolution flat-screen monitor is mounted directly onto the C-arm, reducing the need for a separate monitor cart. Smart Eye provides touch screen collimation and image rotation with fingertip movement.
The Cork cardiac renal centre is considered to be a major step in achieving the delivery of high quality and timely care in the Cork and Kerry region. It will give access, on one site, to a multi-disciplinary team.
