Cornwall trust refreshes breast screening

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is refreshing its mammography equipment portfolio with five Mammomat Inspiration full field digital mammography systems from Siemens Healthcare. 

One of the systems will mark Siemens’ 500th Inspiration delivered globally.  Three units will be installed at the Mermaid Centre, the home of Cornwall’s breast screening service.  The additional two systems will be located on mobile trailers to provide asymptomatic imaging in outlying regions.  

The static Inspirations will connect to several syngo MammoReport workstations for reading and reporting mammograms in both screening and diagnostics settings.
